	Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service Takes Caring for Kids Seriously

	Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service has taken Emergency Prehospital Care a step further to ensure kids in Cobb County receive a high level of prehospital care and safe transportation to the hospital. In addition to all Paramedics being certified in Advanced Pediatric Life Support, all of Metro Atlanta Ambulances are equipped with child car seats and Broselow/Hinkle Pediatric Airway Kits. Braslow Pediatric Kits have state of the art equipment designed specifically for responding to emergencies involving pediatric patients. Metro Atlanta CEO, Pete Quinones stated, ?We simply wanted to be able to provide the best care for the pediatric patients we transport. These Broselow kits provide our medics the right equipment to care of our younger patients and study after study shows that car seats for infants and kids less than 40 lbs saves lives in the event of accident. We hope we never have to rely on the safety of these car seats, but it is in the best interest of our patients for us to transport them in one while in the back of the ambulance and that?s what we are doing.?
