MAAS employees receive special recognition during EMS Week

MetroAtlanta Ambulance service recognized the achievements of their employees at an EMS Week Celebration on Acworth Beach Saturday, May 18, 2002. Mike Jernigan, Vice President and COO stated, ? We wanted to celebrate with our employees and their families during EMS Week. May 16, 2002 was a milestone for our company as we completed our first year in business and our employees are the reason we?ve been successful thus far. They have followed through on their committements we asked of them when they were hired which was to provide excellent service and response to those we are here to protect.?

A number of Paramedics and EMTs were recognized for saving a victim's life during the year. Paramedics included Shane Bonebrake, Lisa Ruckert, Dennis Westover, Pennie Shuler, Mike Shuler and Jennifer Johnson. EMTs were Stephen Borders, Robyn Davis, Bill Lassiter, Ryan McElwee, and Beth Patterson.

The founding employees with MetroAtlanta Ambulance were also recognized and presented a special award by Metro Atlanta Ambulance President and CEO, Pete Quinones.
