MetroAtlanta Ambulance was nominated for the 2004 National School and Business Partnership Award, which recognizes the value, that partnerships between schools and businesses bring to improving the academic, social and physical well-being of students,
MetroAtlanta Ambulance has been a partner with Pine Forest Elementary through the Cobb Chamber of Commerce Partners in Education Program since the school opened two years ago. In 2004, the employees of MetroAtlanta Ambulance assisted students in the after school program, read to students throughout the year, provided ambulance demonstrations during career day and held a winter coat drive collecting hats, coats and gloves for distribution to kids at the school in need.
MetroAtlanta EMS Operations Manager Dave O?Neill was actively involved with coordinating the company?s activities with the school and MetroAtlanta Vice President Devan Seabaugh served on the Pine Forest Elementary School Advisory Council. MetroAtlanta President and CEO Pete Quinones stated, ? We hope our involvement with Pine Forest assists them in having the resources they need to give the kids a great start towards achieving a quality education. These kids represent our future workforce and our community?s leadership and we will continue doing our part to support the teachers and administrators in getting the job done.?
