On March 19, 2003, Keep Smyrna Beautiful recognized MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service with the ?Helping Hands Award? for their support in helping to Keep America Beautiful during the organizations annual Rivers Alive clean up project along the Chattahoochee River. Representing MetroAtlanta Ambulance at the banquet were EMT Gail Cannon, Paramedic Marcie Dodd and Metro Atlanta Vice President Mike Jernigan. Ann Kirk, Director of Keep Smyrna Beautiful stated, ?Knowing that MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service was providing medical coverage for the event allowed me to get a good night sleep the night before the event.?
Keep Smyrna Beautiful hosts the annual banquet each year to recognize and thank the businesses and individuals who donate significant time, goods and or services in support of their projects and programs throughout the year. MetroAtlanta Ambulance Vice President, Mike Jernigan stated, ?We enjoy participating in this community service project. It?s a great cause and who can say no to Ann Kirk! She does a wonderful job with this program and we are glad to be able lend our support.?
