to communities throughout the greater Atlanta area. In addition, MetroAtlanta
Ambulance provides disaster response services, EMS training and education
programs and Medical Dispatch Services.

MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service
has a staff of business professionals to assist each customer to seek
reimbursement from third party carriers for services provided. Complete
billing services include submission to primary and secondary insurance
carriers. |

Emergency
Medical Dispatch Services |
|
| |
MetroAtlanta Ambulance operates a 24-hour
state of the art medical dispatch center staffed with EMT-Intermediates,
EMT-Paramedics and EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatcher) trained personnel.
The center serves as the nucleus of the EMS operation receiving calls
from local 9-1-1 public safety-answering points, hospitals and other
contract accounts as well as private requests for transportation.

Community
Education
MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service provides classes and works in conjunction
with local public health and public safety agencies to educate the
communities we serve about how to access 9-1-1 EMS Response Services,
our delivery of pre hospital care as well as providing courses on
health, wellness and accident/injury prevention. |

9-1-1
Emergency Ambulance Services MetroAtlanta Ambulance
Service is the state designated ambulance provider responsible to
respond to 9-1-1 Emergency requests for ambulance services for Cobb
County, Georgia including the cities of Acworth, Kennesaw, Marietta
and Smyrna. |

Disaster Medical Response
MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service responds when natural or man-made disasters
strike. Upon request, MetroAtlanta Ambulance may respond ALS transport
units and/or personnel to provide mutual aid to EMS transport services
in areas hit by a disaster. Special Event Medical
Standby
MetroAtlanta Ambulance Services provides medical standby services
for corporate and sporting events throughout the greater-Atlanta area.

Interfacility Medical Transportation
|
|
| |
Basic Life Support Level of Care- is for patients
requiring a basic level of medical care or monitoring; patient
care is provided by an Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate
(EMT-I) may include maintaining IV solutions and oxygen therapy
during transport.

Advanced Life Support Level of Care- is for
patients requiring an advanced level of medical care or monitoring.
Patient care is provided by a Paramedic and may include cardiac
monitoring, oxygen therapy, maintaining IV solutions and/or IV
solutions containing medications.
Specialty Care Transportation Level of Care-
is for patients requiring equipment and/or medical care or monitoring
beyond that normally provided by the Advanced Life Support unit.
Specialty Care Transports would include the transfer of patients
requiring ventilator support by a Critical Care Transport Paramedic
or the transfer of a Bariatric patient requiring a Bariatric stretcher
and specialized Bariatric unit.

Out of Town/Out of State Transportation - is
for patients requiring basic, advanced or critical care life support
to facilities outside of the greater Atlanta area or outside of
the state of Georgia. MetroAtlanta Ambulance will provide transportation
by ground ambulance or can make arrangements for fixed wing air
transportation with a local carrier as required.

Non-Emergency Wheelchair/Van
and Non Ambulance Stretcher Transportation- is for patients
requiring transportation to or from a medical facility or appointment
that do not require medical monitoring provided by an EMT. All Med-Van’s
are equipped with Automatic Defibrillators in case of an unforeseen
emergency while enroute. |
