MetroAtlanta Ambulance Receives the BB&T Lighthouse Beam Safety Award

MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service was presented the BB&T Insurance Lighthouse Beam Safety Award by BB&T Vice President, Jim Henderson. 

The prestigious award recognizes MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service’s excellent safety performance in 2010. MetroAtlanta Ambulance President & CEO Pete Quinones stated, “We are grateful for the recognition by BB&T and most grateful for our team member's attention to detail by creating a safe work environment for us all throughout the year.”

MUST Ministries Gobble Jog

MetroAtlanta Ambulance Promotes Jeannie Riner to lead the New Coastal EMS Division Opening in Savannah Georgia

Jeannie Riner was promoted to Operations Manager for Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service’s new Coastal EMS division in Savannah. Riner has a BS in Biology from Georgia Southern University, a Masters of Health Services Administration from Armstrong Atlantic State University and an Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from California College for Health Science. She is also a licensed EMT-Paramedic and Level III EMS Instructor for the state of Georgia and has over 20 years experience in the healthcare and education industry. Riner served as the Director of Respiratory Care for Candler County Hospital and as an instructor at Swainsboro Technical College and Chattahoochee Technical College. She worked for 12 years as an EMT-Paramedic at Memorial Hospital’s MedStarOne ambulance service and for 5 years as an EMS operations manager in Atlanta. She also served as the Program Evaluator for the Georgia State Office of EMS & Trauma. Prior to her promotion to manage the operations of Coastal EMS, Riner was the Manager of Clinical Education and Training for MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service.

Pete Quinones, President and CEO for MetroAtlanta Ambulance d/b/a Coastal EMS stated, “We are confident in Jeannie and her ability to lead our new division in Savannah. She knows the area well, understands our high expectations of quality and has the experience we need to bring quality medical transport services to the residents and visitors in the area. We are excited to be able to serve the coastal region of Georgia and will be working with local healthcare officials to find win-win solutions that provide responsive services and meet the medical transport needs in the area without placing an undue financial burden on the patients, the providers or the healthcare facilities. We've proven it can be done and are excited about the new opportunities”.

Pope High School Greyhound 5K Run

MetroAtlanta Ambulance donated ALS Ambulance coverage to Pope High School Booster Club as they hosted the 2010 Greyhound 5K Run.   Proceeds from the event benefit Pope High School Athletics.

Rivers Alive Clean Up

Kudzu Clipper 5K and Family Fun Run

MetroAtlanta Ambulance provides 9-1-1 ambulance response and transport services to the city of Marietta.

MetroAtlanta Ambulance Named one of the Top 25 Small Business in Cobb County for 2010

Cobb Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Rob Garcia today announced that MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service was named one of Cobb County's Top 25 Small Businesses of the Year for 2010. Garcia stated, "MetroAtlanta Ambulance provides high quality EMS services throughout the greater-Atlanta area and north Georgia and is an active leader among the local businesses here in Cobb County".

Memorial Day Services- Marietta National Cemetery
