MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service is proud to have received accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Service signifying compliance with the highest quality standards in the EMS industry. Metro Atlanta Ambulance has been accredited since 2007 and has received an unprecedented perfect score from the Commission in their initial review in 2007, 2010, and 2016.

The MetroAtlanta EMS Academy is proud to have received accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Committee on Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professionals (CoAEMSP) signifying compliance with the
Commissions high quality standards which assure potential students that a school is a sound institution and has met certain minimum standards in terms of administration, resources, faculty and facilities.

Awards & Recognition

Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Gold Plus EMS Recognition Award. “EMTs and paramedics play a vital part in the system of care for those who have heart attacks,” said Tim Henry, M.D., Chair of the Mission: Lifeline Acute Coronary Syndrome Subcommittee. “Since they often are the first medical point of contact, they can save precious minutes of treatment time by activating the emergency response system that alerts hospitals to an incoming heart attack patient. We applaud Metro Atlanta Ambulance for achieving this award in following evidence-based guidelines in the treatment of people who have severe heart attacks.”  For more information, visit heart.org
