Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service VP Receives the Georgia Power “Citizen Wherever We Serve” Award.

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

MetroAtlanta Ambulance Services Vice President Devan Seabaugh was presented the Georgia Power “Citizen Wherever We Serve” Award by Pedro Cherry, Region Manager for the Metro West Region of Georgia at a recent meeting of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Club breakfast.

Cherry stated, “When you Google his name, page after page appears with articles about all the community organizations and projects he’s chaired or been involved with over the years. From Chairing the Kennestone Regional Hospital Board, to bringing Soap Box Derby Racing back to Georgia, to spearheading the effort to build a new baseball field for the Boys & Girls Club, or coming up with the idea for the 2003 Field of Flags, this man puts his heart, his time, treasure and talent into making our community a great place for us all. I can think of no one more deserving than Devan Seabaugh to be our first recipient of the Georgia Power “Citizen Wherever We Serve Award”.

Seabaugh accepted the award on behalf of the more than 250 employees of MetroAtlanta Ambulance and President/CEO Pete Quinones stating, “Without the support of my CEO Pete Quinones, who authorizes me the time during the workweek to participate in these community projects, there is no way I could be involved in the these efforts. Making our community safe and a great place to raise a family is important to him and to our employees and I’m honored to be one of the people that gets to represent that aspect of our company. I'm surprised and humbled to receive this award. The Georgia Power Company is a true servant leader throughout the state of Georgia and in my opinion sets the example of active involvement in the communities they serve. It's a great honor, thank you.”
