Park Street Elementary recently hosted it's first Mentor Social for the 2006 School year. The fun festive event allowed students and their mentors to get acquainted. MetroAtlanta Ambulance Compliance/CQI Manager, Allyson Shaffer got the opportunity to spend some time with two students she will be mentoring throughout the year. Ms. Shaffer stated, "I'm excited to be able to assist these children throughout the year. Some of these kids just need to know that people care about them and that they can accomplish anything if they set their minds to it. It's a great way for me to give back and I hope that something I might say or do, motivates these kids to continue with their education, get a great job and continue to prosper for the rest of their lives."
