MetroAtlanta Ambulance Donates $10,000 to the American Cancer Society

Metro Atlanta Ambulance Paramedic Lisa Reno headed MetroAtlanta's Relay for Life Team for the 2009 American Cancer Society Relay for Life. MAAS employees raised $5,000 and MAAS President and CEO Pete Quinones matched thier gift for a total of $10,000.

Ms. Reno stated," Cancer is a terrible disease that can be identified with proper screenings. There are also actions we can take to lessen our chances of getting Cancer and the American Cancer Society does a lot to educate the public about risk factors and they are conducting reseach everyday to find the cure and erradicate this disease. The employees and management at MetroAtlanta really came together and raised a significant amount of money for the second year in a row. I'm proud to work for a great company that has such compassionate and caring people".
