MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service Paramedic Lisa Reno Receives the Relay for Life “2008 Rookie of the Year Award” from the American Cancer Society

Pete Brooks, Senior Income Manager with the American Cancer Society presented MetroAtlanta Ambulance Paramedic Lisa Reno with the “Rookie of the Year Award” recognizing her individual effort to raise money during the ACS Relay For Life event held in Cobb County on May 9, 2008. Mr. Brooks stated, “ The efforts of individuals like Lisa Reno are the reason the American Cancer Society has the opportunity continue the fight to find a cure for Cancer. And we will find a cure. Under Lisa’s leadership, the MetroAtlanta team raised more than $9,000 during the 2008 Relay for Life in Cobb County and I wanted to personally congratulate and thank Lisa and her team for their tremendous efforts.”

Mr. Brooks also presented MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service with the American Cancer Society’s Southeast Regional Team Award, which signified that each team member raised on average, more dollars individually than any other team in the ACS Southeast Region.
